Auburn, IN – The Eckhart Library Foundation presented Eckhart Public Library with $25,000 toward its 2025 pledge at the foundation’s January meeting. The $115,000 pledge, to be presented quarterly, honors the library’s 115th year in 2025. The library will celebrate the anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone in May.
The pledge, an increase from previous years, is the fruit of generous donors giving towards the Foundation’s endowment over the last eight years, since the foundation was created. The nonprofit Eckhart Library Foundation, governed by a board of volunteer directors, encourages giving to provide lasting support for Eckhart Public Library. Foundation gifts allow the library to leverage its public funds to focus on ways that serve the public, such as materials and programming.
