“Worthy of 30” Campaign Looks to Fill the Gap in Local Library Funding

Auburn, IN – In response to recent changes to Indiana’s property tax structure, the Eckhart Library Foundation has launched a bold, community-focused fundraising effort titled Worthy of 30. The campaign invites individuals to give $30, the estimated annual amount the library stands to lose in property tax support per household, to help bridge the gap and invest in the library’s long-term strength.
“Eckhart Public Library has a strong history of adapting to change, but what remains constant is our role as a cornerstone of this community,” said Angie Mapes Turner, President of the Eckhart Library Foundation Board. “Worthy of 30 is a chance for our community to show what the library means to them by giving to fill the gap.”
The campaign is both symbolic and practical. A $30 gift today not only fills a projected funding gap, it contributes to the Foundation’s broader mission of sustaining Eckhart Public Library as a place for all — forever. These gifts help ensure continued access to services, resources, and spaces that make the library an essential part of our community.
